How It Works:

Albucel 20% works by increasing the colloid osmotic pressure in the blood, helping draw fluid into the circulation and support plasma volume. Albumin also acts as a transport protein in the bloodstream. The official leaflet notes that albumin contributes heavily to plasma osmotic pressure and may expand circulating plasma volume when infused.

  • Headache
  • Low or high blood pressure
  • Breathing difficulty
