  Adverse Effects
  Mesalazine is usually well tolerated, but some patients may experience:

  • Nausea, abdominal pain, or flatulence

  • Headache or dizziness

  • In rare cases, pancreatitis, kidney function impairment, or allergic reactions

  • Rash or fever may occur occasionally

  • Very rarely, blood disorders like low white cell count may develop
