Description

Mounjaro® KwikPen® 15 mg contains Tirzepatide, a dual GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) and GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonist. It is designed to help improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes when used together with an appropriate diet and exercise program.

Tirzepatide works by activating both GIP and GLP-1 receptors. It enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion, reduces glucagon secretion and can decrease food intake. These actions contribute to lowering blood glucose levels.

The Mounjaro KwikPen is designed for subcutaneous administration once weekly. The 15 mg KwikPen contains 2.4 mL of solution and provides four weekly doses of 15 mg/0.6 mL.
